Dual Occupancy

More possibility.
The same sense of home.

Two homes on one block, delivered from initial concept through to occupancy approval. We bring the care of a custom build to each home, so both feel individual, comfortable and complete.

Make more of your land.
Keep home at the heart.

You might be thinking about family, a change in lifestyle or the future of a property you already own. AJM’s dual occupancy work brings the care of a custom home to each dwelling. Nyah Street shows that approach in practice: two four-bedroom homes with separate entries, gardens and titles.

WORTH THINKING ABOUT

Start with the property

Every block is different. Its size, access, orientation and planning constraints need to be understood before settling on what is possible.

Give each home its own identity

Entrances, outlooks, privacy and outdoor space shape how a home feels. A successful pair needs to work for the people living in each one.

Think beyond the floor plan

Storage, materials and the connection between inside and outside matter just as much in a dual occupancy as in any individual home.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before we begin.

Have something else in mind?

Ask Andrew
Can any block accommodate two homes?

No. A proposal depends on the site and the relevant planning requirements, along with matters such as access, easements and title restrictions. An initial conversation is a starting point, not a planning approval.

Have you completed a dual occupancy locally?

Yes. Nyah Street in Keilor East was completed in 2023. You can explore the project, its two homes and their interiors in our portfolio.

What should I bring to our first conversation?

The property address, your reasons for considering the project and any plans or property information you already have. It’s fine if some decisions are still open.
